Senior Category Manager Indirect Sourcing

As the Senior Category Manager Indirect Sourcing you will play a key role in shaping procurement strategies that drive impact across the organization. This role focuses on collaboration innovation and strategic problemsolving to optimize sourcing for MRO & Secondary Packaging categories representing approximately $70M in spend.

You will partner with stakeholders across all our operating companies to develop and implement sourcing strategies that reduce the total cost of ownership enhance supplier relationships and support business objectives. By leveraging strong negotiation communication and analytical skills you will foster a solutionsoriented approach that benefits the entire organization.

What you will be doing:

• Collaborate with leadership to align sourcing strategies with business goals and priorities.
• Lead category strategy fostering partnerships and driving stakeholder engagement.
• Shape procurement strategy to optimize cost streamline suppliers and enhance processes.
• Deliver measurable value through cost savings risk reduction and process improvements.
• Stay ahead of industry trends to provide insights and drive best practices.
• Negotiate supplier agreements balancing risk legal and commercial considerations.
• Utilize data and market insights to enhance sourcing strategies and longterm impact.
• Ensure compliance with company policies while fostering collaboration across teams.

Work Environment & Location:

• Hybrid Work Model Inoffice collaboration Tuesday Thursday.
• Location: Based in Deerfield IL supporting corporate and business teams.

Qualifications :

• Bachelors degree in business or a related field.
• 8 years of experience in Indirect Procurement
• Expertise in sourcing MRO industrial supplies PPE consumables and packaging materials.
• Strong negotiation skills including contract redlining and collaboration with Legal.
• Deep knowledge of procurement best practices from supplier analysis to RFx execution.
• Ability to travel up to 20%.

Preferred Qualifications:

• MBA
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies

Additional Information :

Fortune Brands believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is Hiring Pay Range: $107000 USD $165000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range or be above or below the range based on factors including but not limited to education training experience professional achievement business need and location. In addition to base salary employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance or a rolebased sales incentive plan.
