Caring for ICU patients on titrated drips ventilators hemodynamic monitoring medication administration vital signs labs carrying out orders communication with MDS and other specialties all other nursing duties as assigned. 2. Equipment utilized in the unit/dept. (Is there computerized charting medication systems etc.) Cerner/Pyxis/Spacelabs for monitoring vitals and hemodynamic monitoring. Ventilators bipaps Baxter pumps kangaroo pumps temp pacers art/CPC/PA lines. 3. Required skills and minimum years of experience. 1 year experience in an ICU. BLS and ACLS required. NIH and PALS preferred 4. Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required. (ARRT CRT BLS ACLS etc) IL Lic BLS and ACLS required. NIH and PALS preferred 5. Shift or schedule requirements. (Will the employee ever work alone Is call required If so how often Are weekends required) The ICU is always staffed with 2 RNS and when able to 1 CNA. No on call required. Every other weekend 6. Floating to other units/departments. (If so to which units/departments) May float to Med/Surg if/when needed 7. Bed size/number of rooms for this unit/dept. 6 beds 8. Nurse to patient ratio of this unit. (nursing only) 1 nurse to 3 patients max for ICU considered patients. 9. Dress Code: Any scrub colors are fine. Tennis shoes or nursing shoes clean appearance and odor. 10. Tell us about the unit/department specific training and orientation program. All access will be granted on first day of contract.
