Job Title: Legal Counsel
Department: Legal
Reporting To: Legal Director
Purpose of the Job This position is responsible for providing accurate and time legal advice to all company stakeholders in line
with the mandate of Legal Department.
Main Duties and Responsibilities 1. Support the Legal Director in development and implementation of the Legal Department’s business plan
in alignment with company’s corporate strategy through departmental initiatives and projects.
2. Support in monitoring implementation of the Legal department’s policies procedures processes
regulations and guidelines.
3. Provide legal advice to company stakeholders on various legal aspects as and when needed. This may
cover areas such as structure business operations various project and operations related activities
dispute resolution and litigation matters pertaining to company.
4. Develop documents in accordance with the standard templates policies and processes applicable in the
Legal Department.
5. Provide advice on aspects such as terms and conditions of contracts agreements and other documentation received or generated for company.
6. Support in design and implementation of compliance policies and procedures governing conflict of
interest antimoney laundering / KYC etc.
7. Support in providing legal advice on monitor legal compliance on local regional and international laws as applicable.
8. Support in providing legal advice concerning labour law related mater including disputes that may arise
relating to company and/ or respective employees.
9. Participate in developing risk mitigation plans and action the outcomes of risk assessment and take relevant measures.
10. Develop and maintain good working relationships with relevant external legal entities contractors stakeholders and organizations.
11. Provide professional development support and perform periodic performance reviews for direct
subordinates (if applicable) based on company’s Employee Performance Management framework.
12. Contribute to the development of workforce plans for the Legal department in collaboration with
Human Resources.
Education Bachelor’s Degree in Law in required.
Master’s Degree in Law is preferred.
Experience
A minimum of 1012 years of work experience in the Legal field preferably in real estate infrastructure sector.
