JOB SUMMARY:
In accordance with the policies procedure and standards of Chroma Hospitality Inc. and Crimson Resort & Spa Mactan and under the direct supervision of the Concierge Supervisor the Bellman provides assistance to guests in terms of concierge luggage valet airport and door services. The position is also responsible for providing complete and accurate information in response to internal and external queries and assists in creating a favorable public image as part of the service.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Inspects the Concierge area and nearby lobby area ensuring that the cleanliness and orderliness are up to standard.
- Reviews arrival / departure list as part of preparations for duty.
- Meets all guests on arrival adhering to established standards for courtesy and professionalism without compromising warmth and hospitality.
- When assigned as airport representative employs all means and taps all connections to ensure that guest arrival is smooth and incident free and travel to resort is immediately facilitated.
- Represents the Resort to ensure guests feel a strong welcome as early as the airport arrival.
- Establishes a strong Resort presence at the airport and ensures that the post is always attended to.
- Actively looks for opportunities to sell and/or up sell the Resorts facilities by talking to guests arriving at the airport and determining their needs (e.g. guests have not made any accommodations arrangements yet).
- During individual and / or bulk departures assists guests in facilitating airport requirements (e.g. luggage checkin etc.).
- Wherever and whenever possible assists in coordinating initiatives with the airport management to facilitate easier arrival and departure procedures for the Resorts guests as authorized by management
- When assigned as doorman takes charge of all incoming traffic by:
- Establishing a continuous presence at the main entrance making sure that this is never unattended;
- Directing traffic ensuring no vehicle blocks or parks at the main driveway;
- Approaching all incoming vehicles and opening vehicle doors for guests;
- Assisting in unloading luggage from vehicles;

- Directs guests to reception counter and / or designated registration areas.
- Gives luggage service ensuring that all incoming luggage are tagged and delivered immediately to the correct room.
- While in the room to deliver luggage confirms satisfaction of guests with room facilities; immediately takes care of pinpointed deficiencies.
- Upon guest check out provides assistance by bringing down guest luggage upon request and loading in the appropriate vehicle; coordinates with reception to ensure all matters have been settled
- Closely coordinates with the Guest Service Center in message handling and delivery ensuring appropriate tracers / records are updated.
- Provides guests with needed information and assistance on a wide variety of topics and services which may include but is not limited to the following:
- Resort facilities services promotions packages history staff etc. including those of other hotels;
- Local and national tourist and/or business data;
- Local entertainment activities;
- Local recreation facilities and activities;
- Customized recreation / sports activities
- Other activities which facilitate a productive and / or pleasant guest visit to the Resort.
- Arranges transportation requirements of guests.
- Maximizes usage of complimentary shuttle service by guests; provides accurate information on schedules records reservations and arranges alternative vehicles where the demand exceeds the supplied seats
- Assists in selling Resort services which adds on to Resort revenue e.g. transportation services (chopper tours) payperview arrangements etc
- Assists in controlling availment of free mileage by recommending appropriate usage
