Job Description
Position: Vascular Sonographer (Allied)
Location: Vestal NY 13850
Pay Rate: $58/hr
Duration: 13 weeks contract
Shift: 8hr Days
Guarantee Hours: 40
Your pay is based on whether you are in a local or travel position. A travel position is defined as residing more than 50 miles from the facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct vascular ultrasound exams including carotid duplex peripheral arterial/venous duplex and abdominal studies.
- Analyze results and document findings for physician review.
- Prepare patients for procedures explain the process and ensure their comfort.
- Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment for optimal performance.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams and provide detailed preliminary reports.
Experience:
- Associate degree in Applied Science in vascular technology.
- Knowledge of crosssectional anatomy hemodynamics and color flow Doppler principles.
License/Certifications:
- Registered or Registry eligible by the ARDMS or CCI as a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT).
- Staff who are Registry eligible must pass the Registry exam and achieve Active Registry Status within one year from the date of hire.
