We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated EH&S Design Specialist to join our site EH&S Projects team. In this role you will provide expert EH&S support for major projects at the site ensuring compliance with EH&S legislation standards and industry best practices. You will act as a subject matter expert (SME) and advisor to project teams integrating EH&S by Design principles into all phases of project execution.
GENERAL SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
Primary role
Conduct EHS Impact Assessments (IA) as part of Management of Change process to ensure that all EHS requirements and standards are incorporated
Implement EH&S by Design as required for selected projects
Participate in design reviews HAZOPs & 3D model reviews
In addition support JSAs noise /IH/ergonomics / WRAPs (machine safety) assessments
Support FATs / SATs as required
Participate in W1 / W3 / Care Custody & Control walkdowns as part of project closeout
Support IA action closure & tracking
Perform periodic walkdowns / audits / programme reviews to ensure compliance with IED licence SOPs & regulatory requirements.

She/he will have a strong EHS general/technical knowledge and experience in the Bio/Pharma industry MedTech or equivalent be a strong effective communicator with all stakeholders. She/he will be a strong collaborator with a proven track and a strong networker able of leveraging EHS&S expertise on and off site.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Previous experience working to ISO14001 and ISO45001 international standards preferably
within a Biopharma/pharmaceutical or related environment is required.
Machine safety experience would be advantageous
ESSENTIAL:
A relevant third level qualification in Science Engineering or EHS with at least 5 years experience in the environment health and safety area is a prerequisite for the position.
Good overall knowledge of legal requirements and best practices in both Environment and Safety
Creates dashboards powerpoint presentations and can track and trend KPI s assembling information into clearly written reports documented findings or recommendations and communicate this progress in easily understandable manner to all stakeholders.
DESIRABLE:
Machine safety experience/qualification would be a distinct advantage
