The Manager Market Development & Planning will lead geospatial market analyses and strategic planning to drive business growth. Using tools like Alteryx and advanced statistical modeling the role involves evaluating market share store location optimization account penetration share of wallet and open market/M&A opportunities. This individual will translate complex data into actionable strategies for sales operational leadership and executive teams enabling effective gotomarket execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Geospatial Market Analysis & Modeling:
- Conduct geospatial analyses to evaluate market opportunities store locations and competitive dynamics.
- Build advanced statistical models to assess market share target store operating models and account penetration.
- Strategic Market Planning:
- Perform gotomarket analyses and identify growth opportunities in new and existing markets. Optimize store locations and market coverage strategies.
- Evaluate open market opportunities and M&A potential through datadriven analysis.
- Translate analysis into actionable strategies for sales and operational leadership.
- Data Integration & Analysis:
- Integrate and analyze geospatial customer and competitive data to support decisionmaking.
- Develop predictive models to enhance market planning and ensure data accuracy.
- Collaboration & Leadership:
- Present insights and recommendations to stakeholders (including executive teams) aligning with organizational goals. Partner with crossfunctional teams to implement market strategies and track performance.
- Provide expertise in market analysis and stay updated on industry market and macroeconomic trends.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Business Data Science Geography or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 5 years of experience in market analysis geospatial analysis or business planning.
- Proficiency in geospatial tools (e.g. Alteryx ArcGIS) and statistical modeling.
- Bilingual in French and English both spoken and written as you will need to collaborate with colleagues and clients across Canada.
- Experience working with large datasets and business intelligence tools (e.g. Tableau Power BI).
