A private caregiver who is kind and dedicated is needed to help an elderly mother who is ill. The ideal candidate will be devoted to helping the older person with their daily activities providing companionship taking care of their meds and making sure they are comfortable and wellcared for overall.
Typical Duties and Positions:
Remind patients to take their medication exactly as prescribed.
Make nutritious food and help with feeding if required.
Write down any changes in vital signs symptoms or overall health status.
Assist with social support talk to someone and do things to improve emotional and mental wellbeing.
Help out around the house with light tasks like cleaning doing dishes and keeping the living area tidy.
Help the elderly with transportation to and from medical appointments and translation services.
Prevent accidents and resolve safety issues to maintain a safe atmosphere.
Provide assistance with workout programs and mobility aids.
It is important to keep loved ones informed about how an elderly person is doing.
Things needed:
Possess a background working with the sick or old as a caregiver.
The ability to demonstrate basic caregiving skills.
Show kindness and understanding toward the elderly.
Excellent verbal written and interpersonal skills.
Calm and considerate when faced with difficult situations.
Ability to work independently while following directions to the letter.
It is preferred if you are certified in cardiopulmonary resuscitation and first aid.
Ability to physically aid in moving the old person including lifting bending and carrying them.
Timetable for Work:
There has to be some leeway in the timetable especially on weekends and evenings to accommodate the needs of the elderly person.
Salary:
An individuals salary may rise or fall depending on their level of expertise and relevant work history.
