Job Description
Job Title :Operating Room Assistant
Location: Shiprock NM 87420
Duration: 6 months to 1 year
Shift Schedule: Mon Fri (40hours per week)
Start Date: Apr 2025
Qualification:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent Prefered
Experience: Shall have a minimum of twentyfour (24) months relevant experience within the last thirtysix (36) months
Certifications: BLS Mandatory
Job Description: We are seeking a highly organized and dependable Operating Room Assistant to support the surgical team and ensure the smooth operation of the operating room (OR). The ideal candidate will play a critical role in maintaining cleanliness preparing the OR for surgeries and assisting in patient care and transportation.
Responsibilities:
- Transport patients to and from the operating room.
- Assist with positioning and prepping the patient for surgery (e.g. draping securing).
- Clean and disinfect operating rooms and surgical equipment after procedures.
- Restock supplies and ensure the operating room is ready for the next procedure.
- Handle nonsterile equipment and manage waste disposal.
- Assist with setting up nonsterile areas or equipment as needed.
