Location: North Cape May NJ
Type: Direct Hire Permanent
Shift: Monday to Friday (Every Other Weekend)
Facility: 120Bed Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF)

The facility is a 120bed Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) offering both shortterm and longterm care.
Job Overview:
Our client a 120bed Skilled Nursing Facility in North Cape May NJ is seeking a qualified and compassionate Respiratory Therapist (RT) to provide highquality respiratory care to residents. This is a fulltime permanent position with a Monday through Friday schedule with every other weekend rotation. The RT will play an essential role in managing and improving the respiratory health of patients particularly those in need of shortterm and longterm care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer respiratory therapy treatments as prescribed by physicians including ventilator management oxygen therapy and aerosol therapy.
- Monitor and assess patients respiratory status adjusting treatments and interventions as needed to optimize care.
- Perform diagnostic tests such as pulmonary function tests and arterial blood gas analysis.
- Collaborate with physicians nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to create and update care plans.
- Educate patients and families about respiratory health including techniques for managing chronic conditions and using home respiratory equipment.
- Ensure that respiratory equipment is maintained and functioning correctly and perform routine cleaning and sterilization of equipment.
- Document all patient treatments assessments and progress in compliance with facility policies and regulatory requirements.
- Respond to emergency situations including code blue and respiratory distress situations as part of the rapid response team.
- Adhere to all safety infection control and patient care protocols.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
- Current Respiratory Therapist (RT) license in the state of New Jersey.
- Previous experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) hospital or similar healthcare setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong knowledge of respiratory care techniques and equipment.
- Ability to work with a diverse patient population including elderly individuals with chronic respiratory conditions.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with healthcare teams.
- Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and effectively.
- Compassionate patientfocused approach to care.
