Are you studying engineering especially within IT networks industrial automation or cybersecurity and ready to hit your professional career with Konecranes Summer Trainee team of 2025 Do you want to gain valuable experience from industrial cybersecurity projects in an international work environment We might have the perfect opportunity for you!
We are looking for a Summer Trainee to join our OT Cybersecurity team in Finland. As a trainee you will be working with network security and technical cybersecurity tooling for Operational Technologies (OT) with your focus at Konecranes factories. Your daily responsibilities include for example reviewing asset data from factory networks working together with factory to collect the missing details from needed tools and people participation to workshops related to network security improvements coordinating changes with the factory and using top notch technologies for network monitoring and generating network policies. You might also be conducting trainings at our factories on topics that you end up mastering during your traineeship. In the end your actual tasks will be decided based on your attitude to learning new things willingness to take on responsibilities and ability to apply knowledge from your studies.
You will work closely with your team members who help you get started and support you in your daytoday activities. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your cooperation skills and network with the best talents of your industry.
The job is located in Hyvink or Espoo Finland with possibilities for remote work and workrelated travel to locations outside Finland.

What kind of talent are we looking for
This role is ideal for a student who is eager to learn more about cybersecurity projects in an industrial company. You are welcome to Konecranes as yourself but we especially value your good teamwork skills hardworking attitude and enthusiasm for developing yourself. Our work environment is highly international so proficiency in English and the courage to work in an international work environment are important.
Requirements:
- Studies in IT security or mechanical/automation engineering (preferably 2nd4th year studies).
- Understanding of IT or automation networks cybersecurity and industrial/manufacturing operations from your studies or working life
- You know how to use traditional ITprograms e.g. Microsoft Office Email etc.
- Earlier work experience school projects or hobbies around similar tasks is seen as a beneficial
