- Post graduation degree in Optometry (OD)
- Previous teaching experience in higher education or clinical settings.
- Strong publication record in optometry research.
- Experience with curriculum design and development
- Fellowship or certification in a specialized area of optometry
- Proficiency in the use of educational technologies and online learning platforms
- Membership in professional optometry associations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
