Job Description
Position: Health Safety & Environmental (HSE) Professional Weipa Region (FlyInFlyOut)
Were excited to offer an opportunity for an experienced safety professional to support our site operations in the Weipa region Far North Queensland. This FlyInFlyOut role offers a 14 days on 7 days off roster with 11hour days and is based out of Cairns or Brisbane. Salary $115K per annum superannuation.
Who are we looking for
Were looking for someone with experience in a HSE or Food safety role. You may have experience in facilities maintenance food manufacturing or a hospitality environment which will provide you with the exposure to support Root Cause Analysis and Incident Investigation. To succeed in this role you will need:
- Mandatory: Qualification in Health and Safety
- Desired: Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
- Desired: knowledge of HAACP
- Excellent time management and teamwork skills
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- High level of computer literacy
- Australian Citizenship or full Australian working rights
- A valid manual drivers license (required to operate site vehicles)
- Ability to pass a preemployment medical drug & alcohol testing and police check
About the Role:
Reporting to the HSE Manager East you will lead incident investigations support injury management processes and contribute to the overall safety culture on site. Your responsibilities will include:
- Administering inductions and competency assessments
- Supporting teams in developing pretask risk assessments
- Leading toolbox meetings
- food and kitchen audits
- Driving company and clientdriven HSE programs and activities
- Ensuring staff compliance with HACCP and Food Safety plans
- Training staff according to relevant safety requirements
