Job Description

Senior Care Assistant Days. Ribble Court Care Home

  • £13.68 per hour PLUS £3 enhancement* for overtime
  • 38.5 hours per week 3 4 days per week working 8am8pm shifts

Ribble Court Care Home is a stateoftheart 53bed facility designed to offer outstanding specialist/complex nursing care and residential dementia care tailored to the unique needs of each resident. We prioritize a personcentered approach ensuring that our residents receive compassionate and highquality care supported by the latest care planning and nursecall technology.

As a Senior Care Assistant you will play a key role in delivering excellent care and supporting the wellbeing of our residents. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing highquality personal care including assistance with hygiene dressing and mobility.
  • Supporting residents with meals and hydration ensuring dietary needs are met.
  • Encouraging engagement in social activities hobbies and meaningful pastimes tailored to individual preferences.
  • Delivering emotional support and companionship to residents ensuring a warm and compassionate approach.
  • Supervising and mentoring care assistants providing guidance and support to ensure best practices are upheld.
  • Assisting with care planning risk assessments and documentation to maintain accurate records.
  • Conducting staff supervisions appraisals and supporting in recruitment and training activities.
  • Liaising with external healthcare professionals families and multidisciplinary teams to provide a holistic approach to care.
  • Upholding infection control and health & safety standards within the care home environment.
  • Ensuring dignity respect and personcentered care are at the forefront of all interactions.

*Overtime is paid for working over fulltime hours. Free meals are given if working over an 8 hour shift and are subject to terms and conditions. Discounts are accessed using our ‘Reward Me’ app. Flexible pay is available via ‘WAGESTREAM’.

What We Are Looking For:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual with:

  • Experience in a senior or supervisory care role within a residential or nursing home setting.
  • A Level 3 qualification in Health & Social Care (or willingness to work towards one).
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and support colleagues effectively.
  • Confidence in recordkeeping and familiarity with digital care planning systems.
  • The ability to remain calm under pressure and handle challenging situations with professionalism.
  • A flexible and adaptable approach to shift patterns to meet residents' needs.
  • A warm positive attitude and a genuine passion for delivering personcentered care.
