Job brief

We are looking for a Group Financial Controller to join us in managing all financial aspects of our service business operations working closely with the Deputy CFO. Responsibilities include financial reporting preparing budgets and forecasts and refining internal policies and procedures.

This role will be situated in Paris and will supervise our service business operations across 10 entities located in France (PIE HQ) Belgium the Netherlands Germany Italy Spain Switzerland and the USA.

DNP Photo Imaging Europe (PIE) is the European subsidiary of Dai Nippon Printing Co. Ltd. (DNP) which is one of the largest printing companies globally.

PIEs main business is to distribute photo related products such as printers and photo media to Europe mainly. PIE is competing with Kodak and Fuji mainly and has a strong share in the market.

Starting in 2017 PIE expanded its business with the acquisition of Sharingbox and PhotoPointCom. By doing so PIE aims at integrating the photo business value chain now also offering: (1) photobooths for the corporate business (as a marketing and data collection tool) (2) photobooths rental for private events (weddings birthday parties) (3) automated photo capturing services in museums and amusement parks and (4) sales of photobooths to B2B customers.

Expectations

  1. Prepare smonthly consolidated financial statements and analyze underlying financial data.
  2. Centralize financial information into a unified database/system for seamless sharing with relevant stakeholders.
  3. Harmonize procedures from various businesses and entities to streamline operations.
  4. Facilitate the transition to the new ERP (D365) by upgrading existing tools and supporting its implementation across all group entities.

Responsibilities

  • Supervising all finance and accounting operations including Billing A/R A/P GL Cost Accounting Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition
  • Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances
  • Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements
  • Research technical accounting issues for compliance
  • Support monthend and yearend close process
  • Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
  • Calculate quarterly sales commissions
  • Additional controller duties as necessary

Requirements and skills

  • Advanced degree in Engineering Economics or Accounting
  • Proven experience (4 years) in financial management with a focus on accounting operations and financial reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of financial principles regulations and best practices.
  • Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems. Knowledge of D365 is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills with the ability to research and address technical accounting issues.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fastpaced environment.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with crossfunctional teams.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Good knowledge of French and English.
