Job Title: Network Engineer

Overview:
Our client a national insurance company is seeking a Network Engineer to design manage and secure network and cloud infrastructure. This role involves maintaining network equipment (Ubiquiti Aruba Cisco Palo Alto) supporting 200 sites troubleshooting issues and ensuring security best practices. Youll also assist with large projects collaborate with vendors and provide technical support to IT teams. This is a 3month contract role.
Responsibilities:
- Design and collaborate in Network and Cloud Architecture.
- Manage and maintain Ubiquity Aruba Cisco and Palo Alo Network equipment.
- Design and implement large network and crossfunctional projects during and after business hours (Including Weekends)
- Secure recommend and implement security bestpractices for networking.
- Administer Network Monitoring solutions.
- Work with ISP and other vendors to establish and support network connectivity across North America for 200 sites.
- Operate as a subject matter expert and escalation point for the Service Desk and other IT teams.
- Contribute to incident management root cause analysis problem management and other ITIL functions as it relates to the network environment.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Associates degree or higher preferably in an IT CS or MIS field.
- Experience with NextGen Firewall preferably with Palo Alto Networks.
- Advanced troubleshooting using the OSI model including IPsec VPN technologies Routing & Switching.
- Wireless experience with Meraki Aruba Networks and Ubiquiti solutions.
- Telephony experience preferred with Zoom Teams or other hosted Unified Collaboration platform.
- Experience with Wireshark tcpdump or other network analyzer tools.
- Basic Windows Administration for workstations and servers.
- Relative certifications are preferred but not required.
- Ability to be on call and work offhours as needed.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff.
- Ability to travel up to 5% for projects and to remote locations if needed.
- Demonstrated problem solving and customer service skills.
