Job Description
Senior DevOps Engineer
Boston Massachusetts United States (Onsite / Hybrid)
Contract to Hire / FTE
We are seeking a DevOps Engineer with strong expertise in GitHub AWS automation and monitoring tools to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing cloud infrastructure optimizing CI/CD pipelines and ensuring seamless deployment processes. This role requires a collaborative mindset problemsolving skills and a passion for streamlining operations.
Key Responsibilities
- GitHub Administration: Manage repositories workflows and permissions in GitHub with a focus on optimizing GitHub Actions for CI/CD automation.
- AWS Management: Oversee cloud infrastructure including instance management parameter store and general administration of AWS services.
- Package Management: Maintain and configure package managers such as Chocolatey for streamlined software deployments.
- Monitoring & Logging: Implement and maintain monitoring and logging solutions using Splunk and New Relic to ensure system reliability and performance.
- Scripting & Automation: Develop automation scripts using JavaScript PowerShell Bash or Python to enhance deployment efficiency and system operations.
- Collaboration & Best Practices: Work closely with development and infrastructure teams to enforce DevOps best practices improve deployment strategies and enhance system security.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience with GitHub specifically managing GitHub Actions workflows.
- Extensive handson experience with AWS including instance management parameter store and administrative tasks.
- Experience with package managers (e.g. Chocolatey) for software deployment and configuration.
- Strong knowledge of monitoring and logging tools such as Splunk and New Relic.
- Proficiency in scripting languages like JavaScript PowerShell Bash or Python for automation and infrastructure management.
