ERP Business Analyst II About The Job
The ERP Business Analyst II is a midlevel position who is responsible for supporting and responding to simple to more complex needs and challenges as they pertain to the companys JD Edwards EnterpriseOne (JDE) ERP system. This position will assist users with tickets placed through the IT Help Desk system research and offer solutions to identified problems assist in knowledge transfer of JDE functionality more complex project implementation and management process documentation and assist with the implementation of new modules and functionality. Additionally this position will be responsible for development of new applications within the JDE system.
Essential Job Functions:
- Responsible for building and maintaining business relationships which includes working with all levels and organizations of the company to maintain and provide troubleshooting to all users.
- Collaborate with users to understand root cause and assist in troubleshooting problems within the JDE system identified in the IT Help Desk ticket system.
- Independently investigate and manage simple to more complexscale projects designed to implement new functionality within the JDE system modules.
- Create documentation and train on process functionality and general knowledge within the JDE system as needed.
- Collaborate with users to learn and document current and future processes.
- Collaborate with users to streamline process flow to drive efficiency and remove unnecessary steps.
- Collaborate with users to assist in process improvement and knowledge transfer of the JDE system.
- Collaborate with IT staff to develop and implement solutions to alleviate redundant efforts and improve overall system functionality to meet the needs of users.
- Collaborate with outside consulting resources as needed to assist with JDE system troubleshooting.
- Advance knowledge of gathering of development skills within JDE system toolset.
- Advance knowledge gathering of project management tools and principles and utilize for medium to large sized projects.
- Leverages knowledge of ERP Business Analyst III or ERP Business Analyst Supervisor in regards to useful methodology skills and tools.
- Ensures lessons learned applied to future efforts.
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
- Regular inperson attendance helpful to facilitate necessary teamwork and personal interactive nature of this position.
Knowledge Skills Abilities (Competencies):
- Knowledge of JD Edwards EnterpriseOne system is required including tools available for use.
- Knowledge of SQL is beneficial.
- Knowledge of Project Management principles and methodologies are beneficial.
- Knowledge of current and previous business practices with regards to software usage is beneficial.
- Ability to efficiently utilize Microsoft Office.
- Manage and prioritize multiple tasks and projects in parallel in a time sensitive environment.
- Ability to increase knowledge of JDE system in both classroom and individual setting.
- Ability to manage multiple projects independently.
- Excellent communication skills both orally and written.
- Ability to take initiative to develop new strategies and outsidethebox ideas.
- Ability to work independently or in a team.
- Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with individuals at all levels.
- Ability to investigate and implement solutions within JDE system required.
- Ability to work with ERP Business Analysts to offer insight and knowledge transfer of areas of coverage within JDE system.
Education And Experience:
- A bachelors degree or equivalent experience in information technology preferred.
- A minimum of three (3) to five (5) years experience in information technology ERP Business Analyst or related field is preferred for this position.
- Knowledge of Edward EnterpriseOne system is required.
