Job title: Production Control Manager
Reports to: Senior Manager of Production Control
Job purpose:
The Production Control Manager will supervise and manage Production Control (PC) associates and resources to provide best business practices and functions relating to Production Planning Raw Material and Customer Orders Flow of Material and Shipping & Receiving processes. Supply Chain and Inventory Control is required. Automotive experience is preferred. Will report to the Senior Manager of Production Control.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintains receiving and distribution operations by initiating coordinating and enforcing program operational and personnel policies and procedures.
Leadership in the development of people and cross collaboration within working relationships with HRrelated principles.
Daily management of subordinates to meet established company and section goals and objectives. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets.
Report to Upper Management on a regular basis the status of these goals objectives and action to achieve. Procurement and Supply chain management responsibilities.
Utilizing ERP and Microsoft systems to ensure data is properly maintained.
Daily monitoring of Customer shipment status and support Planning Shipping and Manufacturing groups to ensure shipment occur on time.
Interaction with Customers and Vendors on concerns of forecasting stable orders back orders and recovery.
Enforce all workplace rules for safety and others as written in the company handbook.
Implement and achieve cost saving goals that meet targets set forth by Upper Management.
Develop goals and objectives with yearly performance reviews of PC associates that report to this position.
Provides leadership for establishing and maintaining a safe work environment.
Proactively addresses and corrects all unsafe behaviors and conditions.
Perform related tasks as required. Qualifications Include:
Associate or bachelors degree preferred. Automotive experience desired.
Supervisory leadership team member development experience required.
Supply Chain Management
ERP system experience desired
Best Business Practices PDCA
Project Management experience Knowledge of ISO/TS 16949 & ISO 14001 policies and procedures
Detailoriented and processimprovement focused.
History of success in meeting goals with ability to work under deadlines.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Executive level reporting experience
Ideal Candidate Experience:

Knowledge of material flow in a manufacturing environment. Understanding of business operations and importance of accuracy.
Experience with Production Control and Logistics Steel Forging Automotive experience a plus but not required.
Working conditions:
Requires working in an open office with visits to the shop floor throughout the day.
