Job Summary:

Syra Health is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Rheumatologist Physician to join our team. This critical role will involve providing highquality medical care to service members and their families within a dynamic and rewarding environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive medical examinations including history and physical examinations for patients with rheumatic conditions.
  • Diagnose and treat a wide range of rheumatic diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis lupus osteoarthritis gout and other inflammatory conditions.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans including medications therapies and lifestyle modifications.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as laboratory tests imaging studies and musculoskeletal ultrasounds.
  • Provide patient education and counseling on disease management medication adherence and lifestyle modifications.
  • Participate in clinical rounds case conferences and other educational activities.
  • Maintain accurate and complete medical records in accordance with MTF regulations.
  • Adhere to all MTF policies and procedures including infection control guidelines and Joint Commission standards.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the overall effectiveness of the rheumatology department.
  • Maintain and enhance professional development through continuing medical education (CME) activities.
  • Meet established productivity targets: 245 patient encounters per month and 780 RVUs per month.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.
  • Board Certification: Board certified or board eligible in Rheumatology by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM).
  • Licensure: Possess and maintain a valid unrestricted medical license in one of the 50 states in the United States or the District of Columbia the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico Guam or the U.S. Virgin Islands.
  • Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
