The Director of Mental Health plays a crucial role in leading all clinical operations and managing the clinical team directly reporting to the CEO. Key responsibilities encompass the initiation development maintenance evaluation and adjustment of the organization s clinical programs. This role also involves overseeing and guiding clinical functions policies and procedures while providing invaluable support to the staff.
- Become a vital member of our organizations Leadership Team. Working alongside the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) youll help set ambitious goals for our organization coordinate efforts to achieve these goals and tackle any obstacles that arise. As the Clinical Director you will play a key role in overseeing the clinical treatment aspects of our operations.
- Support the CEO in conveying our organizations mission to the community ensuring that we collaborate effectively with various community resources to deliver comprehensive services for our clients.
- Lead and inspire our staff in developing programs and clinical services fostering professional growth and effectiveness through ongoing training and remaining informed about the latest trends and theories in relevant fields.
- Take charge of strategic planning development implementation and evaluation of our centerwide clinical programs.
- Ensure that our treatment options are culturally sensitive and tailored to meet the diverse needs of our clients.
- Oversee the recruitment process for clinical staff including interviewing hiring training and when necessary termination.
- Facilitate and organize meetings training sessions and other initiatives to address the program development and maintenance needs of our organization.
- Act as a representative of our organization in the community participating in boards and committees and liaising with various county state and federal funding and regulatory agencies as directed by the CEO.
- Oversee client records for designated program(s) ensuring adherence to HIPAA CCL and Parents by Choice regulations.
- Monitor essential MediCal documentation while guaranteeing precise completion in line with established program county and state standards.
- Track necessary MediCal documentation to ensure it is meticulously completed according to programmatic county and state directives.
- Conduct thorough Quality Assurance reviews of all administrative and clinical documentation to confirm that all documents are completed correctly and promptly.
- Ensure the timely completion of psychosocial assessments clinical admission notes and master treatment plans for all new admissions.
- Utilize effective tracking tools to report current chart statuses facilitating communication with the clinical team and program staff regarding any required missing or incorrect documentation.
- Oversee all Mental Health billing processes through Billing Information Systems for the designated program.
- Investigate and rectify billing discrepancies and related issues while ensuring the prompt submission of invoices for services provided.
- Protect confidential client information and efficiently process Record Requests in alignment with HIPAA regulations and Parents by Choice policies.
- Prepare thoroughly for county and state audits.

Requirements
- Masters degree or higher with the relevant and active state license to provide clinical therapy.
- Possession of a California license (MFT LCSW or licensed Psychologist) with at least 1 year of experience.
