This is a remote position.

Role Name: Bookkeeper

Schedule:

  • Fulltime Monday to Friday 8 AM to 5 PM 1 hour unpaid break

Job Description

Embark on an exciting opportunity as a fulltime remote Bookkeeper for a dynamic dental clinic in Sydney. This role offers a unique blend of financial management and healthcare industry exposure. You ll be instrumental in maintaining the practice s fiscal health providing crucial insights that drive business decisions and contributing to the clinic s growth strategy. As an integral part of the team you ll enjoy a collaborative work environment while leveraging your skills to support the clinic s success in a rapidly evolving healthcare landscape.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daytoday bookkeeping tasks with precision and attention to detail
  • Craft comprehensive monthly management reports that offer clear insights into the clinic s financial performance
  • Conduct indepth financial data analysis providing explanations for trends and anomalies
  • Execute general journal entries with accuracy and timeliness
  • Collaborate with clinic management to maintain impeccable financial records
  • Contribute to financial decisionmaking processes by offering datadriven recommendations
  • Assist in developing and implementing financial best practices tailored to the dental industry
  • Stay abreast of relevant accounting standards and regulations in the Australian healthcare sector

Requirements

  • Proven track record in bookkeeping with a preference for experience in healthcare or service industries
  • Robust understanding of accounting principles and practices particularly those relevant to medical practices
  • Demonstrated proficiency in financial reporting and analysis with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high levels of accuracy in all tasks
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain financial concepts clearly to nonfinance team members
  • Proficiency in modern accounting software and willingness to adapt to clinicspecific tools
  • Selfmotivated individual capable of working independently in a remote setting while maintaining strong connections with the team
  • Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines in a fastpaced healthcare environment
  • Familiarity with Australian tax regulations and compliance requirements for medical practices is a plus
