Job Description
The ideal candidate for a Maintenance Technician would be able to do the following:
- Maintain current preventative maintenance programs/practices on all production equipment (press brakes lasers etc.) and facilities equipment. While working to enhance and improve systems and supporting tools that meet facility needs.
- Able to work across a wide spectrum of skills to include electrical mechanical troubleshooting; as needed to support up time of all supporting critical and supporting capital equipment.
- Assist Manufacturing Engineering on new equipment installations and equipment moves.
- Install repair rebuild and maintain machinery small tools as well as mechanical equipment used in production and related services.
- Complete and maintain all required paperwork of maintenance and preventative maintenance logs and files.
- Responsible for strict adherence to all company/ departmental policies and procedures related to safety.
- Work with the department lead to assure proper parts are kept on hand.
- Ensure that safe working conditions and good housekeeping are maintained while meeting quality and cost requirements.
Qualifications :
For a candidate to be successful as a Maintenance Technician they must have:
- Requires an Associates degree in Maintenance or related field; and three (3) years of relevant experience in a metal and fabrication environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience with laser press brake robotics PLC leader logic and pneumatics required.
- Ability to read and understand detail blueprints mechanical drawings and symbols assembly drawings elementary electrical schematics pneumatic schematics and hydraulic schematics
- Familiar with machine lubrication continuous improvement of machine PMs and maintenance lubrication practices
- Ability to operate various tools and equipment to including: hand and power tools metal fabrication equipment welding equipment plumbing equipment and variety of measuring equipment.
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment and tooling machinery
- Ability to perform advanced shop mathematics; add subtract multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers common fractions and decimals
- Ability to work overtime when required
