A well established company is currently recruiting for a QA / QC Inspector in Takoradi Ghana
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in Quality Assurance Engineering or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in quality control and assurance in a workshop or manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of workshop processes technical drawings and quality control techniques.
- Experience with precision measurement tools testing equipment and software.
- Solid knowledge of quality standards (e.g. ISO 9001 Lean Manufacturing) and workshopspecific regulations.
- Ability to analyze and interpret data solve problems and make informed decisions.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing highquality work.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and quality management software.
- Certification in quality management or related areas (e.g. Six Sigma ASQ certification) is an advantage
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough inspections of raw materials inprocess components and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
- Perform dimensional and visual inspections using precision measurement tools and testing equipment.
- Inspection and testing before during and after welding
- Lead quality audits of workshop processes and products to ensure compliance with internal and external quality standards.
- Review and interpret engineering drawings technical specifications and quality control plans to verify product conformity.
- Identify document and report any defects nonconformities or deviations in products or processes and work with production teams to implement corrective actions.
- Develop implement and continuously improve quality inspection processes and best practices for workshop operations.
- Mentor train and oversee junior quality inspectors ensuring they follow inspection protocols and maintain quality standards.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure the calibration and maintenance of all inspection tools and equipment to maintain accuracy and reliability.
- Generate and maintain detailed quality inspection reports documenting all findings actions taken and resolutions.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health safety and environmental regulations in workshop operations.
- Conduct root cause analysis for recurring quality issues and recommend preventive measures.
- Participate in the development and review of quality control documentation such as inspection plans quality standards and procedures.
- Monitor and ensure that all materials parts and finished products conform to the required quality specifications.
