Job Description
Fast Hole EDM Machine Operators
Essential Duties:
- Analyzes and interpret Op sheets blueprints mechanical drawings and travelers to produce products that meet or exceed customer specifications.
- Operates multiple EDM machines when required.
- Take apart clean and rebuild tooling after completed production runs.
- Knowledge of rotary/linear axes and G and M codes
- Verifies conformance of finished workpiece to specifications using precision measuring tools such as pin gauges micrometers calipers dial indicators borescopes and more.
- Documents actions by updating control charts travelers and reporting labor in the ERP system.
- Focuses and concentrates on the task at hand without being distracted.
- Maintains continuity among shifts by documenting and communicating actions irregularities and continuing needs.
- Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
Qualifications Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED required
- Previous conventional machining experience preferred but not required
- Have basic mechanical and mathematical skills
- Manufacturing experience a plus
- Must be a United States Citizen or a US Permanent Resident
Physical Requirements
- Lift push and/or pull up to 45 pounds occasionally
- Stand at least 95% of scheduled shift
- Routinely perform reaching twisting bending and grasping to move and set tools equipment and materials
- DrugFree Workplace and conducts preemployment drug and background screening and random drug screening
