As a Junior Java Software Engineer you will be part of a crossfunctional team developing software solutions that meet our clients needs. This role will provide you with opportunities to learn grow your technical skills and follow best engineering practices. You will work with Java and related frameworks (e.g. Spring Boot JUnit Hibernate) while also having the chance to contribute to frontend development when needed. Collaboration problemsolving and continuous improvement will be key aspects of your role. Additionally you will create clear and userfriendly documentation to support our clients.
Qualifications :
- Experience of working in a Scrum Team and an Agile environment
- Basic understanding of software engineering principles including SOLID with handson experience in Java.
- Familiarity with TestDriven Development (TDD) principles with experience writing unit tests
- Some experience with SQL is required and awareness of SQL stored procedures and indexes is preferred.
- Awareness of DevOps principles and CI/CD tools (such as Jenkins Ansible Packer or Docker) is desirable.
- Understanding of the concept of containerisation and basic orchestration of applications is desirable.
- Understanding of Apache Kafka and its role in distributed messaging systems for realtime data processing is desirable.
- Financial Services or Capital Markets experience is preferred.
