Job Description
What will you be doing
As a Safety Case Engineer you will join a team in Derby to support our activities within the Nuclear Sector.
Your main responsibilities will be:
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to gather safety cases requirements and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Technical authoring for Safety cases and regulatory submissions to progress Nuclear technology licensing.
- Oversee the submission of assigned technical documents through all levels of governance including Technical Check Independent Peer Review and gated reviews for approval.
- Assist with daily such as responding to Regulatory Queries and Regulatory Observations or creating Safety Case route maps.
Who are we looking for
- The ideal candidate should have over 5 years of experience with a solid understanding of nuclear safety cases and their development along with some familiarity with environmental security and safeguards cases.
- Experience in writing technical safety reports preferably highlevel documents that consolidate extensive technical information such as PreConstruction Safety Reports (PCSRs) or Continued Operations Safety Reports (COSRs).
- Ability to engage and collaborate with stakeholders across engineering and safety & regulatory teams proactively gathering the necessary information to deliver highquality results.

Qualifications :
Experience skills and qualifications required:
- Bachelors or masters degree in Nuclear Engineering Chemical Engineering Process Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in preferably energy or Nuclear.
- Knowledge of codes standards and regulatory frameworks.
