Hiire is helping Hakkoda to hire a Lead Data Engineerto join their Managed Services team.
You will be part of the Managed Services team focused on helping our clients optimize and improve their use of data and other providing snowflake administration services such as breakfix management monitoring enhancements backlog and troubleshooting among others.
A Hakkoda Managed Services Data Engineer Lead is passionate about creating innovative data and analytic solutions for our customers and team. As a Lead you will measure and optimize system performance to push our capabilities forward get ahead of customer needs and innovate for continual improvement.

What were looking for:
We are looking for experienced people who monitor automate and improve software systems reliability performance and availability in an organization. You will work directly with customers to understand their needs and collaborate with internal and customer teams to prevent incidents manage infrastructure build effective monitoring systems and ensure the smooth operation of computer systems. We expect our Leads to mentor and coach other associates and stay current on the everchanging technical landscape.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Data Analytics Computer Science Management Information Systems Mathematics or a similar analytical field;
- 4yrs in related technical roles 1 in management or team leadership;
- Experience hiring developing and managing a technical team;
- Provide primary operational support and engineering for multiple largescale distributed software applications;
- Experience designing and developing data warehouses (Teradata Oracle Exadata Netezza SQL Server Spark);
- Experience building ETL / ELT ingestion pipelines with tools like DataStage Informatica Matillion;
- Advanced knowledge of SQL and tuning SQL including analysis of query plans
- Working knowledge of data visualization tools;
- Experience with business intelligence/data analytics;
- Cloud experience on Snowflake or AWS (Azure and GCP are nice to have as well)
- Experience and expertise in Python and familiarity with the application of modern data science language is a plus;
- A proactive approach to identifying problems performance bottlenecks and areas for improvement;
- Run the production environment by monitoring availability and taking a holistic view of system health;
- Management skills (people and agile projects);
