Job Description: Chef de Partie
Location: Kilchoan Highlands Scotland
Job Type: Contract
Salary: £32000 £34000 annually
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and presentation of highquality dishes in accordance with the restaurant's standards.
- Oversee a specific section of the kitchen ensuring all dishes are prepared on time and to the chef’s specifications.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and cooking areas.
- Ensure all food safety and hygiene regulations are adhered to at all times.
- Manage and train junior kitchen staff providing guidance and support as needed.
- Collaborate with the Head Chef and other kitchen staff on menu planning and the development of new dishes.
- Assist with inventory management including ordering and maintaining kitchen supplies.
- Participate in food tastings and recipe testing as required.
Essential Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of various cooking methods ingredients equipment and procedures.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations in the kitchen environment.
- Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Desired Experience:
- Experience in a highvolume kitchen or finedining establishment is highly desirable.
- Previous experience in menu development and cost management will be advantageous.
- Professional culinary certification or training from a recognized institution.
