Job Description

We are seeking a Machine Operator to join our 2nd shift team in a dynamic manufacturing environment. The ideal Machine Operator will have previous experience in plastics extrusion or a related industry but we are willing to train motivated candidates. If you have strong attention to detail mechanical aptitude and a commitment to quality this is a great opportunity to advance your career!

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Operate monitor and adjust machinery to meet production requirements.
  • Set up machines and ensure proper materials are loaded for extrusion or plastics production.
  • Conduct regular quality checks using calipers micrometers or other measuring tools.
  • Monitor machine operations to detect malfunctions and troubleshoot as needed.
  • Ensure adherence to all safety procedures and regulations in a fastpaced manufacturing environment.
  • Record production data machine settings and quality control information accurately.
  • Perform routine maintenance and assist with minor repairs on machines as needed.
  • Assist in material handling including loading/unloading raw materials and finished products.
  • Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet production goals.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace following 5S principles.

Skills & Qualifications:

Previous experience in machine operation plastics manufacturing or extrusion is a plus.
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities.
Ability to read and interpret work orders technical drawings and specifications.
Experience with measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers is preferred.
Attention to detail and commitment to quality control.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and equipment.
