ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
A WSUS (Windows Server Update Services) Administrator is responsible for managing and maintaining the WSUS infrastructure to ensure that all Windows servers and workstations are up to date with the latest patches and updates.
System Vulnerability Scans: Conducting regular scans to identify vulnerabilities.
Patch Management: Testing deploying and verifying system and application patches.
Compliance: Ensuring systems meet PCI compliance standards.
Server Administration: Managing Windows Server environments.
Scripting: Utilizing PowerShell for automation and task management.
Reporting: Analysing scan reports and documenting patch management activities.
Automation: Utilize PowerShell scripting for automation of routine tasks and patch deployment.
Reporting: Generate and analyse reports on patch status compliance and system health.
User Support: Provide support to endusers and IT staff regarding patch management and WSUSrelated issues.
