This position will provide inoffice and remote training and optimization for new and existing Care Centers. This role will cover the Florida and Georgia regions. Candidates must be local to Florida or Georgia near a large airport.

The Clinical Operations Training and Optimization Specialist works directly with providers and clinical staff to optimize their utilization of the Practice Management System (PMIS) Electronic Health Record (EHR) and related workflows. This role primarily works with practices utilizing athenahealth a cloudbased electronic medical record and practice management tool. Success in this role requires independently assessing and delivering customer specific training and optimization with a client serviceoriented mindset. This role will provide inoffice and remote training for new and existing care centers in Texas and Arizona
Responsibilities
Perform site visits to conduct outreach education training and orientation sessions for providers and ancillary staff
Deploy and manage strategies and initiatives within assigned markets
Identify opportunities and solve problems with assigned clinical practices interacting with the Unified and athena teams as required
Become a Superuser for athena. This requires advanced knowledge of the tool and practice workflows to assist in the implementation of new divisions and optimization of existing practices.
Develop subject matter expertise in athenahealth’s core products and services including practice management patient engagement and the EHR. This includes attaining “Certified Unified EHR Trainer” as outlined by the Unified Clinical Operations team.
Collaborate with crossfunctional areas (e.g. revenue cycle market teams) to create and distribute educational materials regarding athena clinical updates and common issues
Unify standards across multiple health care practices
Train new care center employees on current practices and standards
Assess opportunities and risks during and after implementation of new practices and provide a custom action plan
Establish working relationships and collaborate with providers and office staff
Generate call and visit reports and document all division encounters on Unified site rounding sheets
Assist with maintenance of user and athena configurations
Plan for and participate in events such as Committee Meetings Networking Events and Educational Sessions that may fall outside of normal business hours
Follow all applicable federal/state regulations including HIPAA
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university preferred or experience in Healthcare IT field
3 years experience with an EHR and/or Practice Management system
athena experience required
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Outstanding customer service skills
Moderate knowledge of Microsoft Office
Strong organizational problem solving and decisionmaking skills
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and issues effectively and simultaneously
Strong attention to detail research and follow up skills
Ability to work both independently and in a team setting
A customer service mindset
An interest in learning and ability to independently build skills and expertise with team support
Valid driver’s license and reliable insured automobile required. Must be able to travel up to 50% of the time
