Process and Design Engineer

Responsible for the complete design of both municipal and industrial projects as assigned by the department head. 

Responsible for the process design and documentation of the project in the proposal and implementation phase.

Check and ensure the consistency of the design documents with the tender requirements.

OBJECTIVES

• Prepares the design documents for a specific project using the appropriate tools

• Ensures quality control of all documents before their release

• Meets deadline according to the project general plan

• Ensures the conformity with the time and budget frameworks allocated to a specific project

• Supports Site engineers during execution or commissioning

• Supports Tender team during proposal stage

 TASKS

Technical

• Develops drawings in respect to the various requirements in the project.Such as process reports calculation reports Piping and instrumentation drawings and related listings

• Schedules the tasks required by the project.

• Prepares process equipment datasheets and specifications.

• Prepares Data sheets and specifications files  for procurement

• Evaluates / Approves equipments selected by the procurement department

• Coordinates with different external parties on the project (clientcivil partner consultantsubcontractors)

• Coordinates with different internal parties on the project (tendering and procurement project manager site engineers electrical engineers )

• Managescoordinates or implements the modifications/revisions occurring during the project preparation submission and  approval stages

• Assists the draught people in their tasks.

• Provides drawings according to the requirement defined project specification or Veolia standards

• Implements codification as per project rules or Veolia standards

• Controls or  reviews  drawings done by subcontractors/suppliers.

• Controls/records communications or document traffic between client team and Veolia 

• Liaises with project & proposals engineers to ensure smooth implementation of design carries out design checks and certification as required.                                             

Management 

• Supervises the drafting progress to ensure drawings quality and deadlines are met

• Coaches junior design engineerssummer interns and parttime students.

• Participates in the recruitment process of summer interns and parttime students.

 QHSE Commitments

• Takes into consideration safety requirements of the equipment during the design procedure.

• Ensures installation is complying with safety regulations.

• Ensure the applicable QHSE Policies and standards/requirements/procedures are being applied and maintained

• Liaise with the internal or external interested parties during the QHSE audits/inspections

• Ensure to report incidents (near misses unsafe conditions unsafe actions & etc.)

• Keep the documented information as evidence ensuring the compliance to QHSE Management System

• Getting the approval of the design from the consultant while respecting the tender document  requirements

• Basic Design validated with the Engineering manager

• Responsible for the detailed Process design drawings and other deliverable documents

Qualifications :

• BA in Mechanical Electromechanical or Environmental Engineering . Chemical engineering  Master degree is a plus

• Min. 5  years experience in process design of  Water and waste water treatment process

• Knowledge of Water and waste water technologies especially for Industrial applications

• Site execution and commissioning operation experience 

• Advanced English reading and speaking(Must)

• Autocad  Proficiency(Must)
