Job Summary: Eaton Corporation is seeking a Lead Financial Analyst to support plant accounting and financial operations at its Beltsville MD location. This role is responsible for ensuring financial integrity cost management and process improvements. The selected candidate will collaborate with crossfunctional teams to drive efficiency manage financial reporting and maintain compliance with financial regulations including GAAP and SOX requirements.
Key Responsibilities: - Partner with Program Management and Engineering teams to monitor and analyze multiyear project expenditures.
- Improve and streamline monthly closing procedures to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Oversee cost accounting accounts payable billing capital management and general accounting.
- Assist in the development and execution of finance department goals and process improvements.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain and Manufacturing Engineering to track and report cost savings and capital expenditures.
- Ensure inventory accuracy by managing cycle counts and leading annual physical inventory activities.
- Perform monthend closing activities including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Manage financial support resources and ensure compliance with financial integrity and reporting standards.
- Maintain and track fixed asset registers and capital spending.
- Conduct SOX compliance activities including documentation and assessment completion.
- Prepare monthly/quarterly financial reports and adhoc analyses to support business operations.
- Assist with yearend standard cost roll and LIFO reporting.
Required Qualifications: - Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance Economics or Business from an accredited university.
- Minimum of three (3) years of accounting/finance experience.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen (No dual citizenship) due to ITAR/EAR compliance requirements.
- Ability to work onsite in Beltsville MD (Relocation assistance available for candidates within the U.S. willing to move within 50 miles).
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without corporate sponsorship now or in the future.
Preferred Qualifications: - CMA/CPA certification is a plus.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment with cost accounting is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of GAAP SOX compliance and local statutory requirements.
- Technical ability to analyze and interpret financial and operational data.
- Experience managing corporate reporting policies at plant division and regional levels.
- Understanding of foreign currency impacts hedging protocols and customs duties for applicable locations.
