About this role

The Sr Manager Medical Information Rare Disease is primarily responsible for responding to Medical Information inquiries by creating associated Standard and NonStandard materials. The position functions in an acrosstheglobe capacity (beyond that of the typical Local or Global Medical structures). As such being part of this team means working in an environment with very high operational scientific regulatory and compliancerelated complexities. This role has secondary responsibility to represent Medical Information as part of crossfunctional communication teams. Medical booth staffing at scientific congress meetings is also within the remit of this role.

What Youll Do

  • Create responses to unsolicited Medical Information inquiries.
  • Proactively create Standard Responses for use by the frontline contact center.
  • Training the contact center and the broader Medical team on therapeutic areaspecific Medical Information content and processes.
  • Monitor trends in Medical Information data and communicate actionable insights to stakeholders.
  • Support audit readiness activities.

Qualifications :

Required Skills

  • Advanced clinical and scientific understanding and training (e.g. PharmD MD PhD NP etc. required.)
  • 3 years of Medical Information experience in a Global or Worldwide capacity within the pharmaceutical industry required.
  • Strong attention to detail required.
  • Proficient in analyzing large amounts of data while being able to pull the clinically relevant points.
  • Capability to prioritize among many competing deliverables under time constraints.
  • Understanding of and adherence to regulatory policies governing scientific interactions with physicians and patients.
  • Excellent decisionmaking and problemsolving skills required.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills required.
  • Growth mindset and ability to stay calm under pressure.
  • Written and verbal proficiency in English required.

Preferred Skills

  • Proficiency in a second language.
  • Prior industry experience in a postmarketing setting.
  • Clinical or scientific experience in Biogens therapeutic areas.


Additional Information :

The base compensation range for this role is $131000 $212000. Base salary is determined by a combination of factors including but not limited to job related years of relevant experience internal equity and location of the job. Additionally this role is eligible for participation in Biogens LTI grants and other incentive programs.
