Job Description

Your responsibilities

Indico is a webbased event management system which allows thousands of people around the world to conduct conferences and meetings sharing materials and collaborating in an easy way. Indico is Open Source developed at CERN by an international team of passionate developers. It is used by CERN and 200 other institutes world wide including the United Nations. As part of the team your main focus of work will be on the upcoming releases which includes the modernization of Indicos public conference timetable using React improving mobile friendliness and overall improvements to the UI (e.g. a more personalized homepage).

During your job you will:

  • Actively contribute to a large Open Source project on GitHub
  • Work closely with developers prototyping solutions and iterating on them in an agile environment
  • Maintain code repositories and take part in code reviews
  • Possibly work on DevOps infrastructure (OpenStack/Puppet)
  • Engage with users as part of the Indico support rota
