Job Description

Summary

The Quality Control (QC) Officer plays a key role in ensuring that products meet the highest standards of quality and comply with regulatory requirements. The QC Officer is responsible for conducting a variety of quality checks inspections and validations within the production environment while closely collaborating with the Quality Manager. This role requires proactive measures to maintain product quality and safety along with strict adherence to documentation protocols and established standards.

Our headquarters and manufacturing facility are located in Bicester with a second storage warehouse nearby. Since fitting out our stateoftheart clean rooms and manufacturing facility in 2019 we have continued to invest in our infrastructure to better serve our customers and enhance operational efficiency.




What will you do


1. Quality Checks & Documentation
  • Complete daily job checklists in the internal IT system to verify quality control tasks.

  • Perform realtime documentation verification for processes involving allergens probiotics or pet products.

2. Environmental & Hygiene Monitoring

  • Conduct ATP and environmental swab testing (daily weekly and as required) to assess cleanliness and hygiene levels in collaboration with Eurofins.

  • Verify handcleaning procedures ensuring water temperature meets hygiene standards.

  • Conduct weekly GMP checks and report findings to the Quality Manager.

3. Equipment & Process Validation

  • Perform and document validation checks for scales calipers Pharmatron friability machines and other measurement tools.

  • Verify metal detector functionality (Fortress and Lomas systems) at required intervals and ensure proper documentation (Job 1020).

4. Batch Release & NonConformance Management

  • Conduct batch release assessments to ensure all packed products meet quality standards.

  • Address nonconformances by opening and managing corrective action tickets with the Quality Team Leader/Manager.

5. Product & Allergen Testing

  • Conduct ATP tests and allergen rapid tests for specific product categories (allergens probiotics pet products).

  • Perform weekly and monthly allergen safety verification through rapid and Eurofins swab tests.

6. Continuous Improvement & Compliance

  • Participate in quality and food safety meetings contributing to process improvements and compliance initiatives.
