Job Description

Fullservice engineering firm with tradition and reputation that goes back over 40 years looking to add a Bridge Engineer to their Charleston office!



Responsibilities:

  • Design/plan various bridge projects based on applicable design specifications (steel plate girder prestressed concrete girder reinforced concrete slab structures)
  • Conduct structural analysis to ensure highway structures strength and safety
  • Prepare structural designs/contract documents (drawings specifications estimates)
  • Assist with the preparation of project budgets/schedules
  • Perform calculations for designing bridges/transportation structures


Requirements:

  • B.S. degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis on structural projects
  • 4 years of experience
  • Experience using AutoCAD and/or specialized bridge design software
  • Knowledge of Prestressed Concrete preferred
  • Experience with layout/design of bridges and highway structures preferred
