This is a remote position.
APPLICATION ENGINEERS INTELLIGENT DRIVE TECHNOLOGY
Our client is a specialist for intelligent drive technology and systems. Their customers are in diverse industries such as oil and gas energy mining ship technology rail and commercial vehicles. They are looking to employ on a fulltime permanent basis two (2) Application Engineers Intelligent Drive Technology focusing on the Commercial Vehicle sector of their business. This is a work from home opportunity; the Company premises are based in Croydon.
Drug and Alcohol related medical for all New Employees upon starting.
Application Engineers Intelligent Drive Technology The Offer

£50k to £60k depending on experience

Company vehicle

Hours are MonThurs 08:30 to 16:30 and Fri 08:30 to 15:30 a 36.5hour week
.
25 days annual leave

Application Engineers Intelligent Drive Technology The Role
.
Work closely with Customer / OEM s to understand their specific requirements anticipate their needs and develop solutions.
.
Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the automotive market trends and technologies.
.
Work on joint development projects with other OEM s including problem solving troubleshooting and technical advice.
.
Assist with preparation of technical documentation for products including user manuals and technical specifications as required.
.
Technical support sales and commissioning
.
Project planning of electric drivetrains for commercial vehicles
.
Carry out feasibility studies for vehicle design based on VEDS modular system.
.
Analysis of vehicle data recordings Testing and acceptance of test and prototype vehicles
.
Commissioning and acceptance of new vehicles
.
Report developing patterns of failure or areas of concern to Management.
.
Participate in technical service meetings (onsite and online) with Customers / OEM s
.
Act as first point of contact for customer queries or complaints.
Application Engineers Intelligent Drive Technology The Person
.
Degree in mechanical engineering and / or electrical engineering
.
Prior experience in field services or engineering / automotive industry
.
Strong knowledge of Commercial automotive systems and components
.
Knowledge of Electrical Engineering
.
Basic understanding of Matlab / Simulink /Stateflow
.
Proficient in C/C Programming
.
Capable of handling Vector CANalyzer and Vector Toolchain
.
Excellent problem solving communication and project management skills.
.
Ability to work in a team and collaborate with various departments.
