The Motorpool Service Technician is responsible for maintaining overhauling and repairing motor industrial vehicles automobiles and power generating sets.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Motor Industrial Vehicle and Automotive Equipment Maintenance
1. Repairs overhauls and maintains light and heavy vehicle engines transmission and brake systems in accordance with the repairs and maintenance plan duly approved by the CMD Manager and/or Maintenance Planner ensuring optimum vehicle performance and longer service life.
2. Checks and maintains vehicle hydraulic systems underchassis components and automotive systems ensuring that defective parts are immediately repaired or replaced if necessary and that optimum performance is maintained.
3. Submits to Maintenance Planner list of requirements for vehicle and generator set parts ensuring that correct specifications are indicated and that replacement parts are available as needed.
4. Logs all vehicle maintenance activities and ensures that maintenance schedule is properly implemented.
5. Attends to emergency repairs and night calls.
Other Tasks
6. Establishes maintains recommends and implements a good housekeeping program for all areas of responsibility to ensure compliance to food safety standards set by GMP HACCP & Halal.
7. Actively participates in company programs and provides support at all times.
8. Performs related mechanical work as support to the department objective.
9. Ensures compliance to food safety good housekeeping and quality management system
based on the standards of 5S GMP HACCP Halal and ISO.
10. Performs other tasks as maybe assigned by the immediate superior.
FOOD SAFETY:
1. Complies with quality Halal health and food safety policy standards and regulations of the company.
2. Responsible for reporting problems related to Halal food safety & quality management system to identified authorities.
Additional Information :
Education:
High school graduate with units in vocational/technical course on auto mechanic.
Experience:
The position requires at least three (3) years experience as an driver/auto mechanic.
License/s:
Licensed Electrical Engineer
Other Requirements:
Mechanical skills.
Knowledgeable on internal combustion engines.
Ability to undertake general trouble shooting for plant vehicles and machinery.
Adaptability skills in tapping the fast changing technologies on automotive field.
Reliable knowledge on hydraulic circuitry of vehicles and forklifts.
