Job Summary:
To promote the use of the companys portfolio throughout regional markets specifically aimed at the retail chain industry by being the point person for select retail sites to merchandise specific products as requested by the customer.
Essential Functions:
- Develops an effective marketing and sales strategic plan to maximize product distribution within an established or growing customer base.
- Maintains routine contact with key decisionmakers.
- Places products on shelves or in displays for maximum exposure.
- Ensures products are merchandised correctly per standardized merchandising procedures rotates stock appropriately and ensures correct pricing and pointofsale materials are displayed accurately.
- Provides timely educational programs materials and services when deemed necessary.
- Works with management to monitor sales growth and market penetration using monthly reporting tools.
- Collaborates with internal departments such as accounting or customer service.
- Communicates effectively to resolve billing issues ordering or shipping needs within their designated territory.
- Provides pictures of display cold box or shelf reset executions upon request of management or other internal departments.
- Effectively communicates any specific customer requests to management.
- Keeps accurate daily and weekly logs of accounts visited to provide to management.
- Meets agreedupon goals and objectives effectively and in a timely manner.
- Arrives at work appointments meetings and all workrelated functions on time and as scheduled.
Other Functions:
- Follows all safety policies and procedures; communicates hazards and/or suggests improvements to management.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Working Conditions:
- Field sales significant travel by automobile.
Equipment/Machinery Used:
- Automobile telephone copier computer (or tablet) fax machine calculator.
Physical Requirements:
- Lifting up to 45 lbs. bending sitting carrying standing manual dexterity reaching visual acuity driving.
Minimum Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED.
- Valid drivers license.
- Chain retail sales experience preferred.
- Wine knowledge preferred.
- Demonstrated computer knowledge.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
Education:
- High School or equivalent (preferred).
Experience:
- 2 years of chain retail sales experience preferred.
