We are seeking an experienced RN Emergency Room Manager for our hospital to ensure that we deliver exceptional care to our patients. You will assume responsibility for the management of the unit in the absence of the Director. As a member of our team you will be accountable for planning for adequate resources based on workload and extraneous activities. You will assist in development/review/revision of unit standards.
Requirements
Diploma or Associates Degree from a professional nursing program (required) BSN or current enrollment in a BSN program at an accredited school of Nursing (preferred)
Current licensure as an RN in the state of Virginia or current multistate compact RN license with eligibility to practice in VA is required. American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider (required) Trauma Nursing Core Course Advanced Cardiac Life Support or ACLS Instructor must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date Basic Cardiac Life Support or BCLS Instructor must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date PALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt or PALS Instructor must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date MUST HAVE ER MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE

Undergraduate degree in HIM/HIT preferred (Associate's or Bachelor's). Active RHIA, RHIT, and/or (mandatory). Extensive experience auditing MS-DRG inpatient coding: 3+ years of hands-on MS-DRG auditing in a hospital setting. 10+ years of total medical coding experience preferred. Demonstrated expertise across all body systems (not limited to one specialty, such as Orthopedics). Ability to pass a coding test: 20 multiple-choice/true-false and 5-7 behavioral questions (90 minutes). Reside in an eligible state (not available for California, Alaska, New York, or Colorado candidates).
