Profile
We are seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer who specializes in automation and has worked on multiple largescale projects. This individual should have a history of being a strong individual contributor who works independently. The candidate should excel in dynamic and demanding environments adeptly managing various priorities and balancing them with efficiency and focus. The ideal candidate will be outspoken a strong communicator and decisive with the ability to articulate their ideas clearly to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
Role
This role requires an individual who will be responsible for designing developing and executing automated tests to validate the functionality performance and reliability of APIs that form the backend of web and mobile applications. While the role is for an individual contributor you will have to collaborate with developers manual QA testers and the product manager in the team to understand and execute what is necessary based on requirements. If you take pride in ensuring that the software you work on is of the highest quality then this role is for you!
Must have
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience
- At least 4 years of experience in building and maintaining automation tests for APIs
- Possess a strong understanding of software testing methodologies test design techniques and defect management practices.
- Programming Language: Proficient in at least one scripting language like Python Javascript etc
- Tools: Experience with API testing tools like Postman
- CI/CD: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines Gitlab.
Nice to have
- Testing frameworks: Familiar on how to write automated tests scripts with tools like Selenium or Appium.
- Database: Basic understanding of SQL and how to interact with database for testing
