Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Tax Manager to join our team. This role involves delivering a full range of tax services to clients across various industries while playing a key role in the development of the firms tax services division. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities technical expertise and a clientfocused mindset.
Major Responsibilities & Duties:
- Manage all tax engagements to ensure compliance and deadlines are met.
- Prepare and/or review individual corporate and partnership tax returns of varying complexities.
- Prepare and/or review current and deferred tax provisions in compliance with ASC 740.
- Conduct quarterly and yearend tax planning estimates for clients.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships.
- Oversee engagement planning organization and delegation to ensure efficiency and quality.
- Manage engagement economics including billing collections and profitability.
- Provide education training and mentorship to staff to support professional growth.
- Participate in the growth and expansion of the tax practice.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements & Qualifications
MustHave:
- Minimum of 5 years of public accounting experience with a focus on corporate and partnership taxation.
- Recent tax preparation experience is required.
- Handson experience preparing and reviewing tax provisions under ASC 740.
- Active CPA license.
- Excellent project management analytical and interpersonal skills.
- Strong leadership training and mentoring capabilities.
- Professionalism dependability integrity and a cooperative attitude.
Preferred:
- Prior experience with a Big 4 National or Regional accounting firm.
- Familiarity with tax preparation and research software including ProSystem fx Tax and Engagement CCH RIA and BNA.
- Advanced degree in accounting tax or law.
- Demonstrated success in a salesbased culture and commitment to expanding the tax practice.
Education:
- Required: Bachelors in Accounting or a related field.
- Preferred: Advanced degree in Accounting Tax or Law.
