Job Description

Roles and responsibilities


Receive, check, tally the shipping documents.
Arranging the shipment and monitor its movement.
Conduct and prepare periodic shipping analyses on time.
Prepare daily shipment movement reports and update customer service for shipment status.
Monitor forwarder performance activities and submit relevant report to Department Head.
Maintain rate level of shipping and initiate cost reduction process for those in critical level.
Control and maintain records following proper procedures.
Complete the documentation cycle in accordance with ISO procedures / guidelines and maintain proper recordkeeping.
Identify best shipping line, schedule, and transit time.
Preparation of P.R and follow up for shipping invoices.
Maintain good relationship and interaction with internal organizations, service providers to maintain the good reputation and image of Rowad.
Identify and obtain optimum utilization of container.
To carry out any other assignment entrusted by the Section Head.
Report any discrepancy to Department Head for corrective action.
Check the quality of slitting blades after two packages.
Measure reel diameter after slitting first pack.
Perform other tasks that may be assigned from time to time.
Supply Chain Planning and Coordination
Planning supply chain operations: Develop and manage supply chain strategies to ensure that materials and products are available for production and delivery on time.
Order management: Coordinate and track orders, ensuring that the correct quantity of materials is ordered from suppliers and delivered on time.
Forecasting needs: Work closely with other departments (such as sales, production, and procurement) to anticipate future material and product requirements and adjust orders accordingly.
Scheduling: Plan and schedule shipments to ensure that deliveries meet customer demands and production schedules.


Desired candidate profile

Diploma or Bachelor Degree.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in the same field.
Knowledge & Skills Required:

Willing to work in Shifting schedules.
Problem solving.
decision making.
Fluency in English language with excellent communication (written & oral) skills.
Knowledge of MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
Vendor and Supplier Management
Supplier communication: Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure reliable and timely deliveries of materials and products.
Negotiate contracts: Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers and service providers to ensure cost-effective and efficient operations.
Supplier performance monitoring: Evaluate supplier performance based on delivery times, quality, and pricing, addressing any issues as they arise.
Develop supplier partnerships: Foster strong relationships with key suppliers to support long-term cooperation and improve supply chain performance.
Inventory Management
Stock control: Monitor inventory levels to ensure that there is an adequate supply of materials while avoiding overstocking or stockouts.
Inventory tracking: Use inventory management software or tools to track product quantities, order status, and supply chain metrics.
Inventory optimization: Implement strategies to optimize inventory turnover rates, reduce waste, and manage storage costs.
Inventory audits: Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure stock accuracy and compliance with safety and storage standards.
