Position: Bioinformatician
Location: Indianapolis IN 46202
Client: State of Indiana
Duration: 12 Months

Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Bioinformatician to work in a public health laboratory focusing on nextgeneration sequencing (NGS) assays in bacteriology virology and parasitology. The ideal candidate will leverage advanced computational methods to analyze NGS data and develop bioinformatic pipelines while maintaining highquality laboratory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead bioinformatic analysis of microbial and viral NGS data for actionable results.
  • Develop validate and implement NGSbased laboratory assays.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot NGS analysis pipelines and laboratory processes.
  • Ensure compliance with laboratory safety practices and federal regulations.
  • Communicate technical findings effectively to diverse stakeholders.

Key Technical Skills:

  • Masters or PhD in Bioinformatics or related field.
  • Extensive knowledge of NGS molecular biology and bioinformatic pipelines.
  • Proficiency with bioinformatics software and analysis tools.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for NGS applications.
  • Familiarity with laboratory safety practices and CLIA regulations.
