Job Description
Location: Pittsfield MA
Start Date: March 3 2025
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift Schedule: Monday through Friday 40 hours per week
- Education: Doctoral degree in Pharmacy (PharmD) required.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of extensive acute care clinical experience required.
- License: Must hold a valid Massachusetts Pharmacist License.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) AHA
- Proficient in computer operations unit dose drug dispensing systems IV admixture and parenteral chemotherapy admixture (preferred).
- Must demonstrate the ability to work independently without direct supervision while adhering to established policies.
- Supervise and oversee the work of support personnel ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
- Review and verify physician orders ensuring accurate medication dispensing and appropriate dosing.
- Provide drug information and education to healthcare staff including physicians and nurses to optimize patient care.
- Conduct medication therapy management and participate in interdisciplinary team discussions to enhance patient outcomes.
