Construction Superintendent
Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead and manage commercial construction projects from start to finish. This role requires strong leadership coordination and problemsolving skills to ensure projects are completed safely on schedule within budget and to the highest quality standards. The Superintendent will oversee subcontractors site logistics compliance and project execution while maintaining strong communication with the project team and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all site logistics including jobsite mobilization signage security and neighbor relations.
- Manage material handling including receiving staging storage and delivery for optimal workflow.
- Establish and maintain accurate horizontal and vertical engineering controls.
- Lead subcontractor preinstallation meetings and weekly coordination meetings.
- Enforce site utilization and subcontractor laydown areas.
- Monitor labor material and equipment needs throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements including SWPP environmental and pollution controls.
- Coordinate with the Project Manager to ensure accurate and timely material deliveries and subcontractor installations.
- Identify and address underperformance from subcontractors or team members early.
- Oversee inspections including thirdparty inspectors owners and design teams.
- Manage and complete all project punch lists.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree with at least four years of relevant experience OR 10 years of experience as a Superintendent in commercial construction.
- Proven ability to read and interpret construction plans specifications and legal documents.
- Experience creating and managing Critical Path Method (CPM) schedules.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods means and materials.
- Ability to perform quantity takeoffs and prepare accurate labor and material estimates.
- Expertise in tracking trade performance for reporting and billing accuracy.
- Strong understanding of structural shop drawings and a working knowledge of MEP systems and coordination.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to effectively manage subcontractors ensuring adherence to schedules quality safety and budget.
- Strong problemsolving skills conflict resolution abilities and leadership capabilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and construction management software.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Base Salary: $115000 $135000 (no higher)
- Company Vehicle & Gas Card (must have a valid drivers license and good driving record)
