Job Description

Are you an experienced payroll professional looking for an opportunity to work in a dynamic fastpaced environment We are seeking a detailoriented Payroll Coordinator. In this role you will be responsible for supporting processing payroll for over 500 employees across multiple provinces while ensuring accuracy compliance and efficiency in payroll operations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Process biweekly payrolls for 500 salaried and hourly employees in a multiprovincial environment.
  • Partner with other departments to provide and receive payroll information (primarily the Human Resources department).
  • Review attendance of electronic timesheet data and audits for accuracy of input.
  • Hire new employees into ADP WFN perform salary adjustments modify employees records i.e. address changes direct deposit information etc.
  • Describe ADP attendance procedures to new hires and assist with password resets and login matters.
  • Enter position transfers salary and status changes prepare final pays etc.
  • Prepare Records of Employment (ROE) in accordance with Service Canada requirements.
  • Balance and reconcile payroll totals prior to final transmission.
  • Participate in developing internal payroll procedures and keep documents uptodate.
  • Participates in internal payroll reviews and improvement of payroll processes.
  • Assist with T2200 processing.
  • Maintain accurate and uptodate payroll records and correspondence.
  • Act as backup for payroll coverage.
  • Contributor in Payroll and Human Resources various projects.
  • Produce ad hoc reports required by the business.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Excellent verbal and written communication: English
  • A diploma program in Accounting Business Administration Human Resources.
  • Must have experience in the payroll field.
  • NPI designation is an asset.
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now / Workday strongly preferred.
  • Strong computer skills (Outlook MS Word MS PowerPoint).
  • Intermediate Excel to develop detailed payroll reports and any data manipulation.
  • Fluency in French language is an asset.
  • Must be able to work within tight deadlines.
  • Highly organized able to prioritize and be detail oriented.
