We are looking for a seasoned media relations and communications professional with at least 5 years experience in the financial and/or energy sector to join our dynamic Group Media Relations & PR team to play a key role in shaping Axpos international narrative while fostering meaningful relationships with stakeholders. Is this you

What you will do:

  • Develop and execute media relations programs for Axpo spokespersons across our international business.
  • Build and maintain relationships with international and European media particularly in London and Germany as well asrespond to media enquiries regarding Axpos trading sales and renewable energy business.
  • Draft and manage content for press releases social media web brochures and more.
  • Collaborate with international media and communications agencies to maximize media opportunities.
  • Participate in Axpos crisis communications team and organize press events to enhance media visibility.
  • Report on media developments and opportunities and publish news on digital and social media channels.
  • Regularly update international media relations lists.
  • Manage Axpos international conference engagement programme ensuring our business capabilities are showcased.
  • Act as the main contact for conference organizers negotiate sponsorship packages and select spokespersons.
  • Advise senior management on conference engagements and support in preparing briefings and presentations.
  • Monitor the conference budget and ensure timely payment of sponsorships.
  • Collaborate with PR agencies to explore additional opportunities for enhancing Axpos visibility.

    What you bring & who you are:

    • A Bachelors degree preferably in Journalism Media and Communications or Social Media; additional professional industry certifications in Communications Advertising Marketing and Social Media an added bonus.
    • Additional training in crisis communications and financial communication.
    • Minimum 5 years experience working in media relations and communications within the energy or financial services sector.
    • Proven track record in social media content development and a solid understanding of social media in general.
    • Strong network with Londonbased international media and experience with European media especially German.
    • Bilingual in English and German; other European languages are an advantage.
    • Analytical and strategic thinker with the ability to advise and engage senior management.
    • Excellent media relations social media corporate communications and event organization skills.
    • Excellent written skills for content creation across various owned and paid channels.
    • Proficient in Word Excel PowerPoint and digital publishing tools.
    • Ability to take on board feedback and be reflective.
    • Selfmotivated with a growth mindset diplomatic and a team player.
    • Good networker practical and willing to contribute to team efforts.
